Duotone Foil Assist AL: Integrated Electric Foil Assistance System

Experience the next evolution of foiling with the Foil Assist Set AL, a plug-and-play electric assist system designed to provide a power boost exactly when you need it. This innovative setup allows riders to catch more waves and extend sessions without compromising the natural board feel.

Integrated eMast AL Technology

The foundation of this system is the 84cm eMast AL, constructed from high-stiffness aluminum for a direct, responsive feel. Unlike bulky external motors, the motor pod is fully integrated into the mast profile. Positioned 17cm below the top plate and slightly behind the leading edge, this design minimizes drag during touchdowns.

A specialized two-blade folding propeller reduces resistance for an effortless glide while surfing. When you need to power back out, the integrated gear system ensures the propeller unfolds instantly for a smooth transition.

  • Mounting: Installs to any board using standard foil tracks.

  • Modular Compatibility: A fuselage adapter is required to connect your foil. Beyond the Duotone adapter, ten different options are available to ensure compatibility with most major foil brands (sold separately).

  • Optimal Setup: For peak battery efficiency, it is recommended to use a front wing of at least 900 cm² and a board with a minimum volume of 35 L.

Ergonomic eHarness Battery System

The Foil Assist is powered by two compact batteries contained within a waterproof box on the eHarness. By moving the power source to a lightweight waist harness (approximately 3.76 kg), the board remains free of extra weight and drag.

Placing the weight on the rider’s hips preserves the fluid, natural movement of foiling. The harness is buoyant, easy to remove, and features a cable that runs along the leash to connect the batteries to the mast. The integrated receiver ensures a stable, wireless connection between the remote and the motor.

eRemote Watch Ring Controller

The waterproof eRemote features a smartwatch-style design with a finger ring, allowing for total hands-free versatility. This makes it easier to paddle, duck dive, or handle a wing while maintaining control.

Battery Performance and Travel

The system includes a dedicated charger capable of fully powering both batteries in under one hour. It also features a discharge function to optimize long-term battery health.

Designed for the traveling foiler, the batteries are airtravel-friendly and offer a runtime of 30 to 60 minutes per charge, depending on rider skill, equipment setup, and water conditions.

Compatibility and Modular Use

The system is built to be versatile across different equipment setups. It is compatible with any board featuring standard foil tracks. While optimized for Duotone wings and fuselages, the system can be adapted to other foil brands through the use of specific fuselage adapters, making it a flexible option for riders who already own a quiver of foils from different manufacturers.
